Dear Friends,

Just wanted to update all on a few things with Lone Chimney and the Road to Valhalla.

DVD release is behind schedule.  We apologize, but bonus features and closed captioning have put us behind a bit.  Rest assured, we’ll let you know as soon as they arrive and we’ll be mailing them to all the pre-sales asap.

We have several screenings upcoming in January.  December 14, 21 and 28 at the Civil War Museum at Fort Worth, Texas.  January 4 at Liberty Hall, Lawrence, KS; January 11 at the Wichita Orpheum, Wichita, KS; January 25-26 at Smith Center, KS. February 15 at the Homestead National Monument, Beatrice, Nebraska.  We’re awaiting word from Augusta, KS; Webb City, Mo; Fort Scott, KS and Wamego, KS among others.  Please keep an eye on our website for a full calendar of events.  Scroll down the homepage to see the full calendar.

The film will be broadcast on television at some point in 2014 as well.  We’ll be keeping you posted.

Also, we have several projects upcoming for 2014 that are in pre-production or production.  They include an introductory film for Boot Hill Museum, Dodge City, Kansas.  A full length documentary for the Home on the Range Cabin, Smith Center, KS.  We’ll always listen to your ideas so if you know of a museum or historical entity that has a film in mind, please let us know.

Lone Chimney Films is a 501c3 not for profit and we're always in need and appreciative of your support in anyway you see fit.

Our board member, Orin Friesen, has released his new book.  “From Goat Glands to Ranch Hands,” by Orin Friesen with Bud Norman.  This is a great historical read about the history of early radio stations in Wichita and in particular the legacy of the famous country station KFDI.  Books will be available at local bookstores and Orin is doing several book signings as well.

We look forward to seeing you all down the road and we hope to see you at a screening soon!
